Darter is also called as Snake Bird because of its slender neck . It hunts for fish in shallow water .
One can easily spot this bird in Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary,Visakhapatnam as it is resident there . It looks similar to Cormorant but can be easily distinguished with its slender neck with a straight pointed bill . The Snake bird hunts by spearing fishes using its sharp slender beak which makes it easy to hunt
