Checkered Keelback ( Xenochrophis pisctator) is a semi- aquatic snake.It can be identified by the checkered board like pattern on the body . Though they differ in morphology , they can be identified by blackish patched dorsal surface on brown,green or yellowish ground color.
They can be seen around lakes and ponds
Type - Non Venomous
IUCN status : Least Concern
