Common Indian Toad , Visakhapatnam
Common Indian Toad ( Duttaphrynus melanostictus ) is a specie of toad belonging to Bufonidae family . It is a widespread specie. It can grow upto 8 inches long. Toads are rough skinned and have warts and poisonous glands on their body , which differentiates from frogs . It is the most common road found in India,though it could probably be a complex of several species.
It preferes several types of habitats , from river banks , lakes and ponds to agricultural fields and human settlements
IUCN Status : Least Concern
