Indian Flying Fox  ( Pteropus giganteus )  is the largest fruit bat in Asia these bats are nocturnal and feeds mainly on ripe fruits such as mangoes , papayas, guavas and bananas,  spitting out it seeds and acting as seed dispensers . They live in colonies of few several thousands . These bats fly to their feeding sites shortly after sunset , spend most of the night feeding, returning to the roost before dawn. They are seasonal breeders . They fly entirely by sight.   |
