Red -whiskered Bulbul ( Pycnonotus jocosus ) it is slightly larger than its cousin red - vented bulbul it has whitish underparts brown upper parts the tail is long and brown with white terminal feather tips, but the vent area is red . It is more often heard than seen. It prefers lightly wooden areas, open country with bushes and shrubs farmland.
