Mottled Emigrant ( Catopsilia pyranthe) is a medium size its upper side is chalky white .
They are migratory butterfly . They have long yellow ribbons consisting of several hundreds of both common and mottled emigrants are seen flying across during migration .
Found in many habitats including srcub, dry open woodlands, beach hinterlands, gardens.
Seen on the hills up to 2700m.
