| Asian koel male , Visakhapatnam
Asian koel ( Eudynamys scolopaceus) male are black in colour with a greenish gloss .
Often found concealed within trees and not easy to see it emits a cry that is both raucous and piercing, heard most often during breeding season. It main diet is fruit but also subsisting on insects and nectar.
