Indian gerbil , Visakhapatnam

Indian gerbil ( Tatera indica) are mostly found at dry or arid habitats . Its head and body length  is 17-20cm tail is 20 to 21 cms head is light brown with rusty wash under parts are white as you can clearly see in the pictures above. Its tail is fully furred .

It diet consists of grains,seeds,plants,roots,insects, reptiles and even small birds.
