Russell's Viper ( Daboia russelii) is a snake belonging to viperidae and is a nocturnal species it is part of big four snakes in India found mostly in highly populated area. Can be easily identified by robust and stout body covered with keeled scales .Some time confused as Indian Rock Python hiss sound produced by Russell's are much higher than any other snake .
Mostly feeds on rodents ,small mammals,birds and frogs .
Type: Highly venom's ( haemotoxic) .
