Booted eagle ( Hieraaetus pennatus) are found throughout the India largely a common winter visitor.
its about 50 cm in length and has wingspan of 120cm.  immature similar in appearance to immature Brahminy Kite but with square ended tail . Feeds on mammals ,  reptiles and birds up to five times its  own weight  . It is smallest among the eagles with feathered tarsus.
