Red-Wattled Lapwing, Visakhapatnam
Red wattled lapwings ( Vanellus indicus) are wader family its calls are loud alarm calls usually they are seen in pairs visible on open grazing land, the borders of ponds and by puddles, also spotted in forest clearings. Characteristically , runs about then stops, dipping forward to pick up food in the form of insects. Forms groups yet pairs more common during the breeding season.
These species are declining in western range .
